Job Title: Cloud-Native Analytics Platform Director

Location: Manchester City Centre

We are seeking an experienced Cloud-Native Analytics Platform Director to join our team at N Brown Group plc. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of cloud-native analytics platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in designing and implementing robust data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand and fulfill data requirements, while effectively communicating complex technical concepts.

The estimated salary for this role is £85,000 - £115,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Direct and engage in data engineering tasks, focusing on GCP technologies to create robust data solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to comprehend and fulfill data requirements.
  • Propel the advancement of a state-of-the-art Analytics Platform, ensuring it addresses current demands and foresees future trends.
  • Cultivate, lead, and mentor a top-performing data engineering team, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and professional advancement.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and security requirements, with a focus on the integrity and trustworthiness of data.
  • Champion the transition from traditional analytics to a data-driven methodology, endorsing innovation and best practices in data management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with cloud-native Analytics/Data Platforms.
  • Solid understanding of modern cloud data stack architectures and solutions, headless BI, analytics engineering, data meshes, and lake-houses.
  • Experience with legacy on-prem data estates such as Teradata and Mainframe.
