Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Assistant to join our team at Thorpe Willoughby C.P. School. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contribute to the overall learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, promoting their academic and personal development.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring that pupils with SEN receive the necessary accommodations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEN.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices in SEN support.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting pupils with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Commitment to upholding the school's values and policies.
Working Arrangements:
This is a fixed-term contract, with a start date in November 2024. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and online searches as part of the recruitment process.
