Job Title: Residential Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Residential Project Manager to join our team at Hardy Booth Recruitment. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for leading project delivery and maintenance for a portfolio of over 200 properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and agree Programmes of Works and budgets for all planned maintenance, servicing, and repair work for the portfolio.
  • Identify, instruct, and manage external contractors to effectively complete the required works.
  • Work with Senior Management to manage delivery of planned investment works and maintenance works to ensure quality and compliance standards and customer expectations are met.
  • Develop and review budgets, including processing payments for approved contracted works, to ensure expenditure is robustly managed.
  • Maintain accurate asset management records, including details of component replacement works, using appropriate systems and databases.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, asset management colleagues, third-party suppliers, and residents effectively.
  • Lead all People responsibilities for a small in-house maintenance team, including undertaking and monitoring the completion of performance and development reviews.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in the building industry, ideally working within a customer-focused housing repair/maintenance environment.
  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Effective contract management skills, including managing direct employees and external contractors.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Relevant safety or compliance qualifications, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, P405 Asbestos, P901 Legionella.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant building, maintenance, compliance, or facilities management qualification, such as HNC Construction.
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualification, such as NEBOSH General or equivalent.
  • Relevant professional qualification.
