Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Edinburgh, UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global organisation and contribute to its success.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating sales invoices, customer credit notes, and setting up/maintaining customer accounts. They will also generate monthly customer statements, regularly liaise with other departments, and reconcile corporate and individual customer accounts.

Additionally, the candidate will advise the Management Accountant on potential bad debt and attend weekly debt collection meetings. They will also generate aged debtors' reports and process bank transactions daily with high accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating sales invoices and customer credit notes using approved processes
  • Setting up and maintaining customer accounts
  • Generating monthly customer statements
  • Liaising with other departments including Sales, Customer Service, and Operations
  • Reconciling corporate and individual customer accounts
  • Advising Management Accountant on potential bad debt
  • Attending weekly debt collection meetings
  • Generating aged debtors' reports
  • Processing bank transactions daily with high accuracy
Requirements and Qualifications:
