This role involves motivating and managing site teams, direct and agency labour, and sub-contractors to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality developments on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Formulate a construction programme in line with the specific delivery strategy and targets for the associated sites.
  2. Develop a site logistic plan, including compound set up, pedestrian segregation, car parking, material storage, and exit strategy for nominated sites.
  3. Support the nominated Site Manager during their pre-planning phase of the project to ensure they have access to all relevant site information, company procedures, and IT.
  4. Create and maintain Health & Safety Plans and related documentation for all nominated sites, ensuring compliance with legislative and company requirements.
  5. Monitor external H&S advisors' reports and address any raised items effectively.
  6. Lead the Site Management team, providing direction, coordination, and motivation to achieve site-specific delivery strategy and targets.
  7. Closely monitor site progress against the construction programme, mitigating slippage through short-term programmes.
  8. Ensure project deliverables and targets for show homes and build completions are met.
  9. Maintain high levels of site presentation both on-site and external boundaries at all times.
  10. Manage relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers, and statutory authorities.
Requirements
  • An experienced housebuilding Contracts Manager who is professional, organised, well-presented, and disciplined.
  • A team player with a track record of managing and motivating multiple site teams to deliver high-quality homes on programme and within budget.
  • Professional accreditation would be advantageous.
  • Previously achieved NHBC Pride in the Job awards would be advantageous.
  • Clean and Full driving licence.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of construction procedures.
  • Effective communication and liaison skills with customers and local stakeholders.
  • End-to-end construction management delivery experience, taking multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Computer literate.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Near Letchworth.
