This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of £58,630 - £68,098, depending on skills and experience, plus an attractive shift allowance and performance-related bonus.

As a Control Room Engineer, you will be responsible for real-time operational control and asset intervention management of our Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage fleet.

You will work in our 24/7 Control Centre, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our generating Plant/Apparatus and associated High Voltage Electrical infrastructure.

Your focus will be on safety, asset integrity, safe execution of site operations, maximising generation, and ensuring the best possible plant availability, while ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Fleet monitoring in real-time, responding appropriately to High Voltage and Plant/Apparatus changes and alarms.
  2. Liaising with System Operators, Transmission Operators, and Distribution Network Operators to issue/receive/respond to instructions and safely perform operations across boundaries.
  3. Ensuring timely and effective disclosure of asset availability, enabling maximum value from our energy portfolio while maintaining Energy Market Integrity and Transparency.

This is a shift position, and you will be required to work to a rota system. You should be flexible, located within 45 minutes commuting by car, and able to commit to a structured shift pattern contributing to 24-hour full-year cover.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  2. Experience of Electro-mechanical generating Plant/Apparatus, ideally within the Energy sector.
  3. Ability to adapt to changing workloads positively without compromising key responsibilities, to be flexible, highly motivated, and have a genuine passion for the industry.

We offer a range of benefits, including 34 days holiday entitlement, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, discounted healthcare, salary sacrifice car leasing, and more.

We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. If you are passionate about renewable energy and have the skills and experience we are looking for, please submit your application online.
