SEND Specialist Tutor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Specialist Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will work with students who require individualized support to access mainstream education.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a tutor who can create and deliver tailored lesson plans to bridge gaps in students' education and boost attainment levels. You will work with students who have struggled to stay in the classroom, feel anxious about attending school, or whose needs are not sufficiently supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson plans to meet the needs of students with SEND
  • Work with students to re-engage them in their learning and provide structure to their daily routine
  • Monitor student progress and submit weekly reports to Prospero Teaching

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • PECS/Makaton training preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work with challenging behavior and disengaged students

What We Offer

  • Part-time contract with a minimum of 5 hours per week
