Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious maths teacher to lead our maths department at Brighton Hill Community School. As an academic subject leader, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of maths curriculum and assessment strategies, managing the maths budget and resources, and evaluating the effectiveness of maths teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced maths teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. You will have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. You will also have a proven track record of improving student outcomes and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading the maths department, developing and implementing maths curriculum and assessment strategies, managing the maths budget and resources, and evaluating the effectiveness of maths teaching and learning. You will also participate in whole-school initiatives and work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student outcomes.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a degree in mathematics or a related subject, a PGCE or equivalent qualification, and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). You will also need to have experience of leading a maths department and a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
