Job Title: Fabricator - Plater

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator - Plater to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Fabricator - Plater, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling ship structures, including plates, decks, bulkheads, frames, and longitudinals. You will also be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, marking off materials, and preparing ships for float-off and sea trials.

Key Responsibilities:

* Interpret engineering drawings and mark off materials
* Fabricate and assemble ship structures, including plates, decks, bulkheads, frames, and longitudinals
* Prepare ships for float-off and sea trials
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards

Requirements:

* Modern Apprenticeship certificate (Trade Papers) and minimum SVQ 3 or equivalent
* Current knowledge and experience in Fabrication
* Understanding of manufacturing processes
* Clear understanding of SHE and Risk Assessment
* Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height
* Safety certification (SHE Induction, Risk Assessment, working at height, etc.)
