About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team at HC-One. As a Regional Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the gardens and grounds of our care homes to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake gardening duties, including planting, grass-cutting, shrub maintenance, and pruning.
  • Ensure the upkeep of gardening machinery and tools, and perform regular checks and tests.
  • Work closely with the estates team to maintain and repair external fencing and garden furniture.
  • Assist with salt gritting and snow clearance as required.
  • Implement the Care Home's Health and Safety policy and Emergency and Fire procedures.
Requirements
  • Driving license essential for traveling to other care homes.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with Residents, the Home Manager, and other colleagues and visitors.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and ability to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect.
