Equities System Infrastructure Specialist

Overview:

The Equities trading system engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the bank's critical technology infrastructure, including Equities exchange connectivity, Algo and SOR systems. This role requires a strong background in Equities and experience working on algo platforms as a trading system engineer.

• Monitor and maintain the bank's critical technology infrastructure to prevent disruptions to operations.
• Analyse system logs, error messages, and user reports to identify root causes of hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide technical support to resolve complex issues and develop preventative maintenance tasks to improve service quality.
• Maintain a knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference and self-service opportunities.

• Strong Equities background with experience working on algo platforms.
• Proficient in Linux, Python scripting, and scheduling tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and provide effective communication.

Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum
