About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Impact Analyst to join our Finance and Data team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting City Harvest's growth and success by providing meaningful data insights and analysis.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, with experience in using Power BI and Dynamics 365. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive impact reporting and KPI frameworks, tracking the effectiveness of our charitable activity, and supporting departments with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Database Maintenance and Development
  • Develop and maintain databases using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Improve and develop data quality processes, and perform regular audits to identify and correct gaps and issues.
  • Provide first-level assistance and hands-on support to users and departments on how to access and use the system.
Database Analytics, Reporting, and Impact
  • Develop comprehensive impact reporting and KPI frameworks using Power BI and Excel.
  • Support departments by creating reports that provide meaningful insights from data, contributing to informed decision-making and strategy formulation.
  • Communicate effectively the results of the analysis and follow up on requests with teams and stakeholders.
Supporting Launch and Roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics
  • Support the build, launch, and roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics across the organisation.
  • Use existing legacy database systems to perform financial analysis and produce reports to support other departments.
IT, Data Management, and Security
  • Work with the IT support provider to help with IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with legal and regulatory standards, including GDPR and data protection procedures.
  • Oversee information security.
Requirements
  1. GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  2. Knowledge and/or experience of impact evaluation.
  3. Accounting and finance knowledge (desirable).
Desired Skills and Experience
  1. Highly proficient in IT software/digital technologies, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office, databases, AI, and data analysis software.
  2. Excellent data reporting and analytics skills.
  3. Ability to identify trends and patterns in data sets.
  4. Ability to present and prepare presentations using PowerPoint.
  5. Effective time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
  6. Ability to perform financial analysis tasks.
  7. Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Experience
  1. Experience of maintaining CRM systems and databases.
  2. 2 years' experience in managing and administrating Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  3. Strong experience and expertise in developing reporting using Power BI and Excel.
  4. Experience in troubleshooting and delivering training on technical systems.
  5. Experience of large data sets and proactively identifying data issues and areas for development.
  6. Experience of using analytics to monitor and improve performance.
  7. Experience of reporting for internal or external stakeholders.
