Compassionate Support Partner for Independent Living
5 days ago
We are currently seeking an experienced and empathetic support worker to provide care to a young woman in her 20s who lives independently in the Winchester area.
This individual enjoys cooking and spending time with her six-year-old Jack-Russell, Grace. We need reliable, bubbly, and bright support staff who are happy to support her in and out of her home with daily tasks, such as shopping, and are comfortable with dogs.
Given the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full, valid, and clean driving licence, have access to their own motorised transport, and business insurance policy.
About You
As a Specialist Care Support Worker, you will play a crucial part in supporting this individual to live a meaningful and fulfilled life despite any physical or mental challenges they may face on a daily basis.
You will empower those you support to identify their goals, pursue their hobbies, and be part of the local community.
You're an experienced, resilient Support Worker, deeply committed to assisting individuals with unique disabilities and associated health needs.
You will be compassionate, observant, patient, and confident, skilled in monitoring changes in mood and developing techniques to calm and de-escalate.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience of complex needs, ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable people and their families, and adopt a person-centred approach.
You enjoy helping individuals to be independent through companionship, providing reassurance, and enabling confidence.
You take pride in doing a great job and are happy assisting with cooking, domestic duties, personal care, attending appointments, and social activities.
About the Role
As a member of our Specialist Care Support Team, you will be passionate about making a difference to an individual's life.
The purpose of the role is to support our customers to achieve life goals and aspirations through social, emotional, physical, and cultural requirements in a person-centred way, as outlined in the customer's individualised care plan.
The role requires a professional, positive, and respectful attitude, upholding the values of the SCiA Group.
A detailed job description can be provided upon request and will be given as part of our recruitment process.
