Job Title: Youth Work Coordinator

Main Purpose: To deliver high-quality youth work at the Hale Community Centre, supporting young people aged 11 to 18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, resource, and deliver sessions to ensure continued support for young people.
  • Ensure young people are involved in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of youth work.
  • Deliver high-quality youth work, working within the centre's equal opportunities, health & safety, and safeguarding policies.
  • Identify emerging needs and plan services to meet those needs.
  • Ensure evaluations and case notes are up to date and completed on time.
  • Keep accurate records and provide data and information as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with delivery partners and commissioners.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of delivering and leading high-quality youth work sessions.
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating youth work.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with young people.
  • Current child protection training or a willingness to work towards.
  • Ability to develop appropriate, supportive, positive relationships with young people.
  • Able to evidence a commitment to empowering young people.
  • Able to promote themselves and their work, being a positive role model within the community.
  • Ability to deal professionally with the pressures young people and communities bring.
  • Willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the community and young people.
  • Have confidence to work with other agencies that support young people.
  • Committed to working to organisational Policies and Procedures, particularly about the safeguarding of young people and working within our equality and diversity policy.
  • Able to attend meetings and training sessions when required.
  • Ability to use ICT, for record keeping and communication, within the team.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Youth Work or a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Youth Work.
