Job Title: Automation and Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Automation and Electrical Systems Specialist to join our client's expanding company. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical and automation systems for onshore and offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical and automation systems for various applications.
  2. Develop and review PLC and drives specifications, logic tables, and FDS documents.
  3. Prepare comprehensive automation project documentation and certification packages.
  4. Craft PLC logic flow/process charts to facilitate efficient fault-finding.
  5. Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) procedures and run FAT with client witness.
  6. Retrieve PLC and drives programming code for reverse engineering or upgrading.
  7. Design and code electrical and PLC systems for onshore and offshore cranes and lifting equipment.
  8. Manage all technical and commercial aspects of projects.
  9. Undertake offshore and onshore surveys and project work scopes.
  10. Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies, safety management systems, and industry regulations.
  11. Identify and implement safe work methods and systems, with a focus on hazard identification.
  12. Plan and organise client work processes with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental considerations.
Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  1. Knowledge and experience in coding on Siemens systems.
  2. Experience with Siemens drive systems, especially S120.
  3. Familiarity with SCADA systems.
  4. Strong managerial and organisational skills.
  5. Ability to work independently with a methodical, dynamic approach.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Onshore crane and lifting experience (preferred - not essential).
  8. Understanding of Ports operations.
  9. Sound IT skills, including MS Project, Excel, and Word.
  10. Minimum of 5 years experience in the design and/or maintenance of electrical, PLC & drives systems.
