Electrical Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading manufacturer in Blackwood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production facilities through effective maintenance and repair of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal production levels.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Engineer to develop and implement maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and optimize costs.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, moral, and European directive requirements related to electrical safety and maintenance.
  • Provide technical advice and support to problem-solving and innovative solutions.
  • Order and negotiate the price of materials and equipment.
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Engineer to optimize the productive capability of the plant and improve environmental performance.
Requirements:
  • BTEC Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Good knowledge of technical Health & Safety requirements, such as IOSH and NEBOSH.
  • Experience in a similar role and within a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Ability to read and follow electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
