Join Gloucestershire County Council in shaping the future of road safety.

As a Senior Road Safety Engineer, you will be part of a team dedicated to reducing road traffic casualties in Gloucestershire. Your expertise will be crucial in managing and providing traffic and collision data, speed management, and safety reviews of highway design proposals.

You will work closely with the Principal Road Safety Engineer to deliver work and policy objectives, supervising team members and developing collaborative relationships with other GCC teams and external partner organisations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing road safety schemes and providing advice to colleagues and external partner organisations
  • Reviewing applications to changes in the operation of the highway in terms of speed limits etc.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with other GCC teams and external partner organisations
  • Supporting the Principal Road Safety Engineer in supervising team members
