As a Distribution Automation Sales and Support Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team at ABB, working with digital products and solutions to address global challenges. This role reports directly to the Head of DA Sales, UK, and offers a unique blend of sales and technical expertise.

About the Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for selling and supporting digital products and solutions to OEMs, panel builders, consultants, end-users, and EPCs. You will represent ABB's Distribution Solutions Digital portfolio, including relays, automation systems, and solutions, by providing customer product support, training, and internal/external sales support.

Main stakeholders include customers, Product Market Managers, Factory representatives, Other Sales and Account Management Interfaces, and other ABB divisions. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing onsite and remote support to customers for technical queries and issue resolution.
  2. Contributing to the sales budget of the Digital Products and Solutions business lines.
  3. Providing training on digital products and solutions and portfolio internally and externally.
  4. Liaising between factories and the Digital Excellence Center for commercial and technical support.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in digital product technical sales support with distribution automation and apparatus.
  • Solid knowledge of IEC61850 protocols, SCADA, ABB product portfolio, and the digital market.
  • HNC or equivalent in electrical installations and engineering.
  • Current full UK driving license.
  • Good understanding of power system protection for electrical networks.
  • Able to understand and create programmable scheme logic for P&C configurations.
