Senior BIM Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BIM Engineer to join our team at NUVIA, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction France. As a Senior BIM Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the Nuclear and Defence sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of BIM models and coordinate aspects of projects under the guidance of the Task Team Manager/BIM Manager.
  • Author and federate BIM models, manage clashes, and ensure Health and Safety in BIM, COBie, IFC, and Classification Delivery.
  • Maintain a structured set of BIM objects within a wider BIM data set.
  • Ensure the application of Business Unity BIM Standards to projects and follow the Delivery Team BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Provide BIM authoring support to projects using prescribed technology in the Delivery Team BEP.
  • Link BIM models from other task teams and access the latest models from the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Produce high-quality families and objects that are parametric based and suitable for native authoring platforms.
  • Support model and content management activities to support digital re-use objectives.
  • Ensure that model 'level of information need' is aligned with the project responsibility matrix and is appropriate to the project stage.
  • Ensure the project team meets the BIM level 2 standards as outlined in BS1192:4.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge in the use of key authoring platforms (Revit, Naviswork, AutoCAD, Inventor, Civils 3D).
  • Ability to create content in these platforms for the purposes of the project.
  • Demonstrated relevant knowledge and skills required in the process of BIM throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
