About the Role

As an SEN Teacher at Bestwood Village School, you will create a positive and supportive learning environment for pupils with special educational needs. Your role will involve promoting positive relationships between peers, ensuring a capable learning environment, and collaborating with the SLT to secure high standards of teaching and learning.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement personalized learning activities and experiences that meet the individual needs and levels of achievement of each pupil.
  • Plan, track, evaluate, assess, and report the teaching and learning of pupils.
  • Supervise, develop, and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as appropriate.

Key Skills Required:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills.
  • Have a background of teaching English and Maths, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level.
  • Primary Teacher with experience in Teaching EYFS Years 1-4.
  • Previous experience in SEND Teaching.
