Are you a recent graduate passionate about education and eager to start your teaching career? Our Graduate Teaching Programme in partnership with secondary schools across Oldham offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in a supportive and dynamic environment.

About the Programme:

Our Graduate Teaching Programme provides a structured pathway into teaching, allowing you to work as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant, supporting students across various subjects and year groups. You'll have the chance to develop essential teaching skills, enhance your CV, and gain valuable experience in managing behaviour and understanding different teaching styles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and delivering lessons.
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students stay on task.
  • Support individual students or small groups with their learning and development.
  • Gain valuable experience in managing behaviour and understanding different teaching styles.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to contribute to the school's overall learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with a degree in any subject.
  • Passionate about making a difference in education.
  • Confident, proactive, and able to engage and inspire young people.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Eager to pursue a long-term career in teaching.
