Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Care Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in law and experience in child care law, with a passion for advocating for the rights of children and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with public and private children cases, child abduction, child protection issues, special guardianship, and adoption matters.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
  • Deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures.
  • Implement recommendations made by supervisors following monthly file reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with file management.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong academic background in law.
  • Experience in child care law, with a focus on publicly funded cases.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and marketing skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and document management.
