Job Description

Fusion People is seeking a highly skilled Senior Rolling Stock Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Central Line Improvement Programme Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions within our Workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of engineering solutions for the overhaul of Signals Equipment, Rolling Stock Equipment & General Engineering.
  • Review and assess work instructions, providing coaching and guidance to colleagues on new/improved processes.
  • Manage technical queries related to production, compliance, project delivery, and material procurement.
  • Create Bills of Materials aligned with customer specifications, drawings, and LUL standards.
  • Collaborate with internal/external technical experts as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on technical issues.
  • Drive efficiency improvements in line with the Maintenance Optimisation Team's goals.
  • Ensure documentation from local manufacturing engineers is reviewed and technical content is assured.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience in rolling stock engineering and/or assurance.
  • Ability to review work instructions and compare them to detailed engineering specifications or London Underground standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of signalling, electrical, or mechanical engineering bills of materials and SAP master Data.
