Financial Reporting Role
This role will support the Finance Business Partner across all aspects of financial information, including monthly reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts with supporting variance analysis and commentary.
- Full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations.
- Be a subject matter expert on the respective BU results.
- Prepare, review, and challenge budgets, business plans, and forecasts.
- Maintain financial control processes.
- Proactively suggest and implement process improvements.
- Liaise with BU stakeholders on a regular basis to help them understand financial results.
- Liaise with auditors both internally and externally.
- Provide balance sheet and P&L analysis.
- Other ad hoc finance tasks.
- Be involved in projects as required.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Professional Accountancy Part Qualification ACCA/CIMA/CA/ACA.
- Degree in Finance or business-related subject or equivalent qualification.
- Either have trained within a reputable accountancy firm or will have experience in a similar position.
- Experience in branch accounting is desirable.
- Strong experience in preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations, audit involvement.
- Experience in dealing with difficult stakeholders and communicating with non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- High degree of problem-solving skills required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
