About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and recovery-focused Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at Rowan 2, a 16-bedded female acute inpatient ward. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, promoting, and evaluating safe, creative, and effective treatment plans in collaboration with patients, carers, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan individualized care plans that address the diverse needs of patients.
  • Implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions to reduce stress and anxiety, manage risk, and aid recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, both written and computerized.
  • Administer medication safely and effectively, in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Apply principles of Infection Prevention and Control, and comply with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Obtain and interpret physical healthcare observations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty.
Requirements
  • Registered Qualification in RMN with the NMC or a third-year nursing student expected to qualify.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and clinical risk assessments.
  • Experience of working with people with mental health issues or personality disorders.
  • Ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues.
  • Good skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients' nursing care.
