About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geo-Environmental Consultant/Engineer to join our dynamic team at Hydrock. As a key member of our Geo team, you will play a crucial role in delivering geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy services to a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy support to clients, including property developers, agents, planners, commercial and residential developers.
  • Assist in the design and management of geo-environmental and/or geotechnical assignments, including desk studies, ground investigations, human health, groundwater and gas risk assessments.
  • Conduct site-based fieldwork and prepare reports, including Remediation Method Statements, Material Management Plans, Geotechnical Design Reports, and other follow-on design works.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry news, innovation, and changes, and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
  • BSc, BEng, or higher qualification in a relevant subject (geology, civil engineering, environmental science, etc.).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a geo-environmental consultancy role.
  • Experience working for a contractor and/or geotechnical/geoenvironmental experience is highly desirable.
  • Supervision, reporting, and management of geo-environmental assignments.
  • Monitoring of gas and groundwater levels and groundwater sampling.
  • Liaison with sub-contractors and clients to assist in the delivery of projects.
  • Technical report writing, including Desk Studies and Ground Investigation Reports.
  • CSCS card.
  • SSSTs or IOSH equivalent site supervisor certificate.
  • First Aid training.
  • Cat and Genny trained.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
