Project Director

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Director to lead our team on the Eastern Green Link 2 project (EGL2) in the UK. The 'Eastern Green Link 2' (EGL2) project will see the creation of a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Scotland to England. Our company, BAM Nuttall, will provide the engineering works for the 2 converter stations.

• Lead the project team in delivering successful project outcomes, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

• Promote repeat business by maintaining personal contact with key clients and stakeholders, and demonstrating high levels of commitment to their requirements.
• Establish, maintain, and monitor an effective cost management system, ensuring financial control and reliable QF preparation and reporting.
• Ensure realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored, reviewed, and updated according to the project and contract requirements.
• Ensure processes are in place for the preparation, review, and briefing of method statements, activity plans, and risk assessments, and that they are reviewed and updated accordingly.
• Ensure systems are in place for the successful commercial and financial management of the project.
• Ensure all necessary site-based appointments are made with suitably trained and experienced staff.

We are seeking a candidate with:

• A degree or HND in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Agent within Civil Engineering contracting.
• Leadership and management capabilities commensurate with the role.
• Detailed working knowledge of the civil construction environment and forms of contract used.
• Experience working in construction project delivery.
