SEN Teaching Assistant Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Norfolk. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum.

About the School:

Our school provides day placements for students aged 11-16 years with communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, or conditions on the autistic spectrum. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and dynamic environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with students
  • Support the delivery of high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities
  • Assist the Class Teacher in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the class
  • Adapt to the varying and changing needs of the school to ensure smooth operation
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-professional team

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
  • Level 2-3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards)
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
  • Experience and knowledge of working with pupils with SEMH and ASD

Salary and Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £21,709.61 - £22,388.59 per annum, plus opportunities for professional development and career progression.
