About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Endoscopy Department as a Healthcare Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the decontamination of endoscopes and other specialized equipment, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Assist in the maintenance and traceability of instruments, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  • Support the Endoscopist with simple accessorizing during procedures, under qualified staff supervision.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, responding to the needs of patients and their families.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with the following skills and qualifications:

  • NVQ/QCF Diploma Level 2 or equivalent qualification in healthcare.
  • GCSE English grade G/1 (or above) or Functional Skills English level 1.
  • GCSE maths grade G/1 (or above) or Functional Skills maths level 1.
  • Completion of the Care Certificate (or willingness to undertake).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Decontamination training.
  • NVQ Level 2 in direct care.
  • Technicians' Training course in GI Endoscopy.
