Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Stockbroking Lab team at Lloyds Bank plc. As a key member of our agile team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive iterative change and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily team synchronization, backlog planning, prioritization, and retrospectives.
  2. Collaborate with teams, including Customer Journey Managers, Product Owners, Technical Delivery Managers, and other Software Engineers.
  3. Support build and test processes, including managing code changes and contributing to the production release process.
  4. Assist with live planning and address service incidents.
  5. Apply problem-solving skills to find innovative solutions and translate business requirements into technical stories.
  6. Support the on-call rota for applications within your area of technical expertise.

Requirements:

  1. A strong track record of developing in Microsoft technologies (.NET and ASP).
  2. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  3. Experience in managing source code with GitHub.
  4. Experience in DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Urban Code, and Sonarqube).
  5. Strong problem-solving abilities related to code and database performance.
  6. Ability to communicate updates effectively and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  7. Willingness to take on tasks beyond your engineering discipline to support team goals.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience in Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle RAC technology, and shell scripting in Linux.
  2. Understanding of agile tools to manage feature team activity (JIRA and Confluence).
  3. Experience integrating applications with 3rd party owned systems and shared Group services.
  4. Knowledge of governance practices to ensure safe change implementation.
