Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join our team at Ark Workplace Risk. This is a specialist role that involves delivering fire safety expertise and strategy across the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fire strategies for complex residential and commercial buildings.
  • Conduct thorough fire risk assessments, including Type 1, 2, 3, and 4 assessments.
  • Design and implement building safety management systems to mitigate potential fire hazards.
  • Provide expert advice on fire safety matters, including contentious issues related to fire brigade interventions.
  • Create fire management plans for existing buildings, taking into account their unique characteristics and risks.
  • Support clients in developing corporate fire safety management systems across their portfolios.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 8 years of experience working as a Fire Safety Consultant in the built environment.
  • Extensive experience in undertaking fire specialist work, such as fire strategies, fire management plans, and complex fire risk assessments in high-risk commercial and residential buildings.
  • A recognized fire safety membership, such as GIFireE or MIFireE or MIFSM.
  • EngTech qualification highly advantageous.
  • Ideal candidate will be on Tier 3 IFSM, FRACS, or IFE fire risk assessor register or operating at that level.
  • A Fire safety/fire engineering diploma level 5 or level 4 with a view to achieving Level 5.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on skills, experience, and location. We also offer a competitive package, including travel opportunities, professional development, and a wide range of benefits.
