Senior Mechanic Job Description

UPS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanic to join our team in Glasgow. As a Senior Mechanic, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Automotive shop, ensuring our vehicles are safe and compliant with all legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and service our vehicles to maintain their safety and performance
  • Work with the team to plan and execute maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Order and manage parts inventory, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime
  • Audit workshop activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics
  • Full UK driving license
  • C1, 7.5-tonne license (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Shift premium of £4.84 per hour between 8pm-6am
