About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Hepatology team at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients with chronic liver conditions, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nurse-led clinics for patients with liver conditions, including hepatitis B/C, MAFLD, and other liver diseases.
- Collaborate with hepatology consultants to develop and maintain high-quality care standards for patients with liver conditions.
- Participate in the development of the BASL cirrhosis care bundle and advance the role by integrating clinical practice, service management, education, and research.
- Contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and guidelines for the care of patients with liver diseases.
Requirements:
- NMC Registered Nurse with a teaching and assessing qualification.
- Advanced communication training or willingness to undertake.
- Specialist knowledge or interest in liver disease.
- Evidence of operational management in a clinical setting.
