Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Maintenance department on a nightshift basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a successful team and contribute to the maintenance of our site.

As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance duties are carried out across the site. This includes attending to breakdowns, carrying out machinery overhauls, and completing remedial correctives to improve the plant's availability and reliability.

You will be a seasoned professional with experience in heavy machinery maintenance within manufacturing. Your strong analytical skills will support fast and effective problem-solving, and you will be able to work unsupervised and prioritize your time and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is carried out, reducing the risk of downtime.
  • Capable of effective prioritization of tasks and personal time management.
  • Able to work unsupervised and prioritize their own time and activities.
  • Have strong analytical skills, supporting fast and effective problem-solving.
  • Machine tool experience.
  • Flexibility to support any unplanned maintenance activities as required.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Time-served Electrically biased Engineer.
  • You must hold relevant and appropriate qualifications (City & Guilds / BTEC / NVQ Level 3).
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Team player and flexible as required.
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Experience in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Good maintenance background and be competent to work on CNC machines, PLC-controlled equipment, conveyors, overhead cranes, jib crane, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Demonstrates good practice when planning preventative maintenance.
  • Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting knowledge.
