Role Overview:
LTF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Academic Tutor to provide one-to-one support to students at a secondary school in Derbyshire. This role involves assisting Key Stage 3 and 4 students across various subjects, promoting academic progress, and developing effective strategies for student improvement.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, with at least one year of experience as a tutor or educator. They will be able to lead small group interventions, facilitate meaningful progress, and possess excellent communication skills to build rapport quickly with students.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students in Key Stage 3 and 4 across various subjects
  • Providing instruction to Key Stage 3 students who are not attending school, covering a range of subjects using the school's resources
  • Offering one-on-one tutoring to students outside the traditional classroom environment
  • Working with students who are unable to attend mainstream lessons due to anxiety or mental health challenges

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for education, who can work independently with students to promote academic progress. They will have a strong understanding of curriculum requirements and be able to develop effective strategies for student improvement. Additionally, they will possess excellent communication skills, be able to build rapport quickly, and have a driving licence and access to a car (fuel expenses covered).
