Job Summary:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture and championing standards across the site. This role involves interacting with internal and external personnel to deliver a safe working environment, promoting process industry Health and Safety best practice, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Health and Safety legislative and regulatory matters, liaising with relevant organisations
Support line management in day-to-day Health and Safety conformance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring standards are upheld
Provide support to the Environmental Manager, particularly focused on site operations, ensuring the application of EHS Management systems and Policies
Champion near miss and incident reporting, providing coaching for first-line investigation and closure
Conduct audits and reviews to ensure adherence to Health and Safety procedures, including Permit to Work (PTW) and Management of Change (MOC)
Support and oversee the maintenance function in developing and managing internal Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) for all internal activities
Be a point of contact for Health and Safety-related situations, making decisions, and ensuring clarity on proposed courses of action
Attend and lead the Site Safety Committee, and lead a Contractor Health and Safety Review for all long-standing third-party personnel
Train and coach colleagues on Health and Safety procedures and systems
