Job Title: English Teacher

We are the Wayman Learning Trust, a thriving school community in Hackney, East London, seeking an exceptional English Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality English lessons, developing students' literacy skills, and creating a stimulating learning environment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to different learning styles
  • Assess and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Provide individualised support to students, as needed
  • Contribute to the overall life of the school
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge of English literature and language
  • Passionate about teaching and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced educational setting
