We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a renowned SEN School in Surrey. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Work directly with students in the classroom, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and developing strategies to address any challenges.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among students, teachers, and staff.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective lesson plans and educational programs.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders and social-emotional mental health challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students and staff.
- Basic knowledge of special educational needs and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and the ability to work in a school environment.
