About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Consultant / Security Architect to join our team at MS Amlin. As a key member of our Business Services department, you will play a crucial role in shaping our cyber security strategy and ensuring the effective management of security risks across the organization.

As a Cyber Security Specialist with a focus on cloud security, you will be responsible for providing direction on our security Incident Response Plan, supporting the design phase of projects from a security perspective, and proactive review of existing toolsets to introduce new functionality and/or new processes to improve efficiency and increase security posture.

You will assist in the development of security policies, standards, and procedures, and scope, organize, and review penetration tests where necessary. Your expertise in Microsoft Operating Systems, cloud security, ideally Azure, and security system design, implementation, and management will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the cyber security strategy and provide direction on the security Incident Response Plan.
  • Support the design phase of projects from a security perspective, including input into requirements and design reviews.
  • Proactively review existing toolsets, suggesting modifications to introduce new functionality and/or new processes to improve efficiency and increase security posture.
  • Assist in the development of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Scope, organize, and review penetration tests where necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a cyber security related role.
  • Strong technical experience of Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Experience in cloud security, ideally Azure.
  • Experience in security system design, implementation, and management.
  • Experience in cyber incident management.
  • Desirable: CCSP, CEH, CISSP or equivalent qualifications.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Performance-related discretionary bonus.
  • 28 days core annual leave, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days.
  • A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%).
  • Private medical cover for yourself, with the option to add family members/dependants.
  • Flex fund of £1,000 (pro-rated based on start date) to spend on flexible benefits.
  • Life assurance: 10 x annualised base salary.
