Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop cardiology nursing services, promoting best practice and high-quality patient care.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, supporting their professional development and improving patient outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance patient experience and drive service excellence.
- Recruit, retain, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and teamwork.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making recommendations for improvement and driving change.
We are looking for an exceptional individual with:
- A Registered Adult Nurse qualification and current registration with the NMC.
- Substantial post-registration experience working in a complex healthcare setting, supervising and mentoring junior staff.
- Evidence of professional and clinical knowledge in cardiology, supplemented by specialist clinical and managerial training and CPD.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of being a practice-based supervisor and assessor, as per the NMC standards.
- A professional portfolio demonstrating continuing professional development, evidence of ability to maintain professional registration.
- Relevant and recent clinical experience within the speciality, including supervision and education of junior staff.
- Experience of mentoring undergraduate students and evidence of ability to lead and coordinate a shift or area of department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for leadership, team building, and clinical governance, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £43,141 - £70,305 per annum, depending on experience. However, please note that this is an estimated figure based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
