About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Early Help Practitioner to join our team at Hampshire County Council. As an Early Help Practitioner, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide support and guidance in overcoming challenges and achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with children and young people to identify and address issues that may impact their well-being and educational outcomes.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to help families build on their strengths and overcome difficulties.
  • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting families.
  • Provide guidance and support to parents and carers on how to promote positive relationships and behaviors in their children.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training and workshops for professionals and families on topics related to early help and family support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in an area such as parenting, family support, youth work, education, or youth justice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Experience of working with diverse communities and an understanding of the complexities of family life.
  • A creative problem-solving approach and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
