About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Pilgrims View, a residential care home in Snodland, Kent. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals and snacks for our residents.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Plan and prepare menus in consultation with the Home Manager, residents, and care staff.
  2. Prepare and cook meals and snacks from fresh, frozen, and pre-packed ingredients.
  3. Monitor and control catering budget and costings in conjunction with the Home Manager.
  4. Implement catering regulations in respect of hygiene and Health and Safety procedures.
  5. Provide supervision, direction, and training to kitchen staff.
  6. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  7. Monitor residents' opinions of the catering service and make recommendations for improvement.
