We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Pilgrims View, a residential care home in Snodland, Kent. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals and snacks for our residents.
Main Responsibilities- Plan and prepare menus in consultation with the Home Manager, residents, and care staff.
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks from fresh, frozen, and pre-packed ingredients.
- Monitor and control catering budget and costings in conjunction with the Home Manager.
- Implement catering regulations in respect of hygiene and Health and Safety procedures.
- Provide supervision, direction, and training to kitchen staff.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
- Monitor residents' opinions of the catering service and make recommendations for improvement.
