Job Overview

Hampshire Hospitals NHS is seeking a skilled Clinical Haematology Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide medical input for haematology inpatients and outpatients attending clinics and treatment. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and experience in Clinical Haematology, with the potential to acquire competencies needed towards a national training number in Haematology or Oncology.

Main Duties of the Job

This post will involve participation in the provision of the Acute Oncology service, including assessment, review, advice, and intervention of patients receiving chemotherapy. You will also be responsible for inpatient haematology care on Wessex ward, including patients with new diagnoses of acute leukaemia and receiving intensive chemotherapy. Additionally, you will attend site-specific MDT and laboratory meetings, and participate in transfusion medicine and bone marrow biopsies.
