Our Infrastructure Team has been appointed to the South West Water Tier 1 Delivery Partners Framework, securing Lot 1 and delivering Waste Water Non-Infrastructure projects across the East of the South West Water operating area.

The Role

This construction site-based role is part of the site management team, supporting the Site Engineer with security, health and safety, and organizing materials and people.

  • Support the Site Engineers in planning and organizing daily work, reading drawings, keeping records, and following administration procedures.
  • Assist with preparing designs, reports, specifications, and other items required for successful Construction projects.
  • Develop skills using levelling equipment, measuring devices, and computer-based systems like Computer Aided Design tools and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

Requirements

  • Holds a degree in Civil Engineering (or derivative) with a 2:2 classification and above, or expected to achieve on graduation in 2025.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence or will hold one by August 2025, with opportunities for travel to various construction sites and project locations.

  • Experience from a year in industry or summer placement with a Construction or Civil Engineering Contractor (highly desirable).
  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to learn sophisticated design/construction IT packages.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings with training.
  • Practical and logical qualities with a methodical way of thinking.
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
