The Buying Assistant role offers a fantastic opportunity for career advancement in buying. You will support the category team by introducing new ranges to stores and contributing to daily implementation.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and optimize product lines and ranges across our stores.
  • Source and verify product information from suppliers to improve our customer experience.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies with stores about category activations.
  • Manage pricing and promotions for the category to maximize sales and revenue.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform price decisions.
  • Oversee promotional activities, including invoicing and margin funding to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements within the admin community.
Requirements:
  • A degree or relevant retail/admin experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) to analyze data and create presentations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to build effective relationships.
  • Excellent administration and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong numerical skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
  • Proactive and resourceful to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and achieve business objectives.
