About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Tarmac. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for managing the shift maintenance team, ensuring the efficient operation of our plant, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the shift maintenance team, ensuring the efficient operation of the plant and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in a heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
