We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Horizon Care & Education. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our school site and vehicles.
Main Responsibilities- Site Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the school site, including internal and external works, to ensure a safe and clean environment for employees and activities.
- Compliance and Safety: Conduct regular compliance checks and manage external contractors to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including fire, legionella, asbestos, and gas/electrical.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative duties, including paperwork and electronic documentation, to support the smooth operation of the facilities team.
- Team Management: Supervise and manage the cleaning staff to ensure the site is clean and tidy at all times.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain and regularly clean vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service to employees and stakeholders, ensuring a positive and efficient working environment.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required by the Head of School to support the facilities team.
- Experience: Proven experience in facilities management, site maintenance, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in facilities management, health and safety, or a related field.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move items relevant to the role, with a high level of physical fitness.
