Job Title

The role of Group MIS Manager involves overseeing the management and optimization of business software systems, including ERP, WMS, and CRM. This position requires strategic alignment with organizational goals.

This includes team leadership, performance oversight, professional development, software ownership, compliance, updates, vendor management, and security responsibilities. You will also focus on business process improvement, cross-department collaboration, training, and user support.

To succeed, the candidate must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Experience in software management and vendor management, with expertise in ERP, CRM, WMS, and similar systems
  • In-depth knowledge of software systems and experience managing vendor relationships
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and team collaboration abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Expertise in data security practices and backup solution management
  • Advanced understanding of computer hardware, software, protocols, and systems
  • Extensive experience working with large-scale systems and databases
  • Comprehensive understanding of data security policies and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to simplify complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with strong project management expertise

Job Details:

Estimated Salary: £60,000

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

Location: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Team Management: Lead the MIS team to support business software systems effectively, provide mentorship, and set objectives.
  2. Software Ownership and Management: Oversee business software applications (ERP, WMS, CRM), ensure software licensing compliance, and manage vendor contracts.
  3. Business Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams to identify efficiency-boosting software solutions and recommend improvements based on system performance and feedback.
  4. Vendor and Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships with software vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor SLAs for quality and value.
  5. Collaboration and Integration: Partner with IT teams to integrate software with infrastructure systems, align systems with organizational goals, and ensure consistent data management.
  6. Security and Data Management: Implement and enforce software security policies, oversee data integrity, backups, and application-level security.
  7. Training and Support: Oversee software implementation across group companies, organize training to ensure effective software use, and define KPIs and performance metrics aligned with business goals.
  8. Research and Development: Research new technologies to maintain a competitive software landscape.
