At Accor, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel. As a renowned leader in the hospitality industry, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of pastry chefs to deliver exceptional desserts and baked goods for events, banquets, and other special occasions and celebrations. They will develop and execute innovative pastry menus in collaboration with the Executive Pastry Chef, incorporating seasonal ingredients and creative techniques.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years as a Head Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hospitality establishment. They will possess exceptional proficiency in pastry techniques, dessert plating, and presentation, as well as strong leadership and managerial skills.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and inspiring a team of pastry chefs to deliver exceptional desserts and baked goods
- Developing and executing innovative pastry menus in collaboration with the Executive Pastry Chef
- Overseeing all aspects of the pastry kitchen operations, including production, plating, and presentation
- Ensuring seamless operations and collaborating closely with other department leaders under the guidance of the Executive Pastry Chef
- Maintaining adherence to high standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
- Managing inventory, procurement, and cost control to optimize profitability while maintaining product quality
- Training, mentoring, and developing pastry team members to foster skill enhancement and professional growth
- Staying abreast of industry trends, techniques, and best practices to continuously elevate the pastry program
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Coordinating with event planners and clients to customize dessert offerings according to their specific needs and preferences
- Conducting regular taste tests and quality checks to ensure the highest standard of pastry products
Key qualifications include:
- Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Head Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hospitality establishment
- Exceptional proficiency in pastry techniques, dessert plating, and presentation
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
- Extensive knowledge of ingredients, flavors, and pastry trends
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Impeccable hygiene standards and a commitment to food safety regulations
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous
