Job Title: Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Immacolata House Dementia Nursing Home in Somerset, UK.

This purpose-built care home provides exceptional care and support for 49 residents living with dementia, requiring dementia nursing or general nursing care.

Compensation Package:
  • The hourly rate is up to £12.15 + £2 per hour overtime, making the estimated annual salary approximately £26,500 - £28,000 depending on hours worked.
  • Contracted to 34.5 / 48-hours per week, offering flexibility in shift times (06.45-19.00 or 18.45-07.00).
  • Night shift breaks are paid, and you will have access to 'Concerts for Carers' benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for implementing individualized care plans and assisting with personal care needs.
  • Providing support during mealtimes is also an essential part of this role.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of tasks performed is crucial to ensuring high-quality care.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Care Assistant is preferred, but transferable skills are also valued.
  • A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering exceptional service are essential.
  • A strong sense of teamwork, kindness, honesty, compassion, and integrity are necessary qualities for success in this role.
